DAE’s giant leap in third party aircraft management

6 December 2019 - It is celebrations time at Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE). DAE has grown its managed fleet to over US$2.5 billion since the announcement of DAE Aircraft Investor Services (AIS) product in January 2018.

DAE is currently managing four aircraft ABS securitizations as well as aircraft for several investor partners.

Taking in to account the current aircraft under management plus mandates to source and manage portfolios for third party investor customers the growth of DAE's managed portfolio is reaching USD 3.5 billion.

Commenting on the milestone, Firoz Tarapore, Chief Executive Officer of DAE said, "DAE's Aircraft Investor Services (AIS) product is gaining significant traction in the investor community as the only true aircraft investor service product offered by a large leasing company. Investors appreciate the ability to access DAE's substantial and capable platform while having a team dedicated to serving their needs as customers. DAE intends to remain at the forefront of responding to changing investor needs, with a clear line of sight to a substantially larger managed fleet alongside our growing owned fleet. DAE expects to ultimately manage over USD5 billion worth of aircraft assets for third parties."

DAE's current managed fleet stands at 75 aircraft after the latest portfolio sale agreement in October. Their expansion plans aims at reaching 125 aircraft in coming months while fulfilling existing mandates from investor customers to growing the managed fleet to USD 3.5 billion.

DAE utilises its full capacity of global and active platform to manage aircraft for third parties along with offering the investors an investor focussed service product in the form of its AIS team which provides investors with a single point of contact dedicated to championing their interests within the wider DAE platform.
