Sabena technics performed its first B787 C-Check:
6 December 2019: Sabena technics will perform the base maintenance operations on two of Air Europa's Boeing 787-8. The company performed a successful C-Check on the first aircraft and it has left the MRO facility. The second aircraft is already at Sabena technics' premises in Bordeaux (France).
Philippe Rochet, CEO of Sabena technics said, " Our teams handled this project with great enthusiasm, hard work and dedication and made sure to put safety and quality first! We are thrilled to have Air Europa as our launching customer for base maintenance checks on the Dreamliner aircraft and look forward to increasing our B787 capability. "
Alberto Lines, Maintenance & Engineering Director of Air Europa said, " We at Air Europa are greatly impressed with Sabena technics' performance completing this first B787 C-check on time. A fluent co-operation between both our teams has also contributed to reach this goal. We remain fully confident with Sabena technics for future projects."
Sabena technics has also been providing Air Europa with airframe solutions for their fleet of A330s for the past two years.
