Gulfstream corporate aircraft fly over 1 million nautical miles on SAF:
18 December2019: Gulfstream Aerospace's Savannah-based fleet has flown over 1 million nautical miles/1.85 million kilometers on sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
Gulfstream has used SAF for its corporate, Demonstration, Customer Support and Flight Test fleets since March 2016. The company has made over 550 flights with blended fuel and reduced carbon dioxide emissions by around 1,300 metric tons.
"We take our role as an industry leader in environmental sustainability very seriously, so this is a milestone we're extremely proud of," said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream. "We remain steadfast in our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and helping our industry achieve its sustainability goals. The widespread use of SAF is critical to meeting those goals."
