Two-Year Apprenticeship Program opens at Piper Aircraft:
10 December 2019: The road to qualify as the Journeyman in Aircraft Assembly to aviation enthusiasts at Piper Aircraft's world headquarters in Vero Beach, FL. Piper Aircraft has opened application period for its two-year Apprenticeship programfor 2020. The programme starting in late July is the second apprenticeship class to begin at Piper Aircraft.
This program was started in response to the increasing demand for high quality manufacturing candidates in August 2019. The inaugural program was started in cooperation with Indian River State Collegeand the first nine apprentices are currently completing their first semester of the programme.
An Informational session will be conducted by Piper Aircraft for the benefit of aspiring students. This session will include a brief presentation, the opportunity to meet with current apprentices as well as program coordinators. The session will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at the Piper Aircraft factory in Vero Beach.
