10 July 2019:Azores Airlines has received the delivery of its first of three A321LRs which is to be leased from Air Lease Corporation becoming the latest operator of the long-range single-aisle aircraft.
Azores Airlines' A321LR is equipped with CFM LEAP-1A engines. It features 190 seats in a two-class configuration i.e 16 Business class seats and 174 seats in Economy.
With this new A321LR, Azores Airlines will continue its strategy to grow and expand its network to European destinations as well as transatlantic routes between the Azores and North America.
The A321LR is all set to join the Azores Airlines' Airbus fleet of five single-aisle aircraft which includes three A320ceo, two A321neo in service since last year. This new aircraft will offer Azores Airlines with more operational flexibility while leveraging on aircraft commonality.
