19 July 2019: The NH90 Sea Lion has successfully completed mission demonstrations for its relevant roles in the German Navy, including SAR missions, in July.
People who participated in the tests were representatives of the Navy and the procurement agency BAAINBw. During the test, operations were conducted by using a rescue hoist, checking navy reconnaissance capabilities, and dropping off Special Forces and commandos equipment which consists of an inflatable boat.
Sea Lion helicopters are scheduled for delivery by the end of 2019. The order was placed for 18 helicopters.
