CAE opens new flight training centre in Bogota:
10 July 2019: CAE has officially opened a new CAE training centre in Bogota, Colombia. The executives and employees of both the companies celebrated the inauguration of the new flight training centre alongside government officials. The event was a milestone for both the companies as it marked the start of a 15-year exclusive pilot training agreement between Avianca Airlines and CAE. The centre will also provide training services to other airlines in the region.
CAE Bogota will have seven full-flight simulators (FFS) by the end of 2019. Currently, the centre provides training on multiple aircraft types with an ATR 72 FFS, three Airbus A320 full-flight simulators (FFS) and a Boeing B787 FFS. An Airbus A330 FFS and an additional Airbus A320 FFS will be added in the coming months. The centre also has with ATR, Airbus and Boeing aircraft type flight training devices.
