Luxembourg Airport witnessed a historic milestone as Cargolux became the first airline to utilize sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) uplifted at the airport. This momentous occasion took place during a celebratory cargo flight, made possible by the supply of Neste MY Sustainable Aviation Fuel through NATO’s Central European Pipeline System (CEPS), in collaboration with World Fuel Services and with the support of Luxembourg Airport.

Cargolux opted to utilize Neste’s SAF for a special cargo flight from Luxembourg to Zhengzhou, the airline’s largest hub in mainland China. This flight commemorated the forthcoming 10-year anniversary since Cargolux initiated its services to Zhengzhou in 2014.
