Lufthansa Technik AG and MTU Aero Engines AG joint venture Airfoil Services Sdn. Bhd. (ASSB), commemorated two decades of delivering cutting-edge airfoil repair solutions and successful collaboration between two prominent leaders in the aviation MRO industry. The company repairs about 500,000 engine parts per year for about 100 customers worldwide. In March 2023, the mark of 7,000,000 parts delivered in total was surpassed.
Since its establishment in 2003, ASSB has maintained its position as a world-class provider of innovative high-tech airfoil solutions, driven by the combined expertise and resources of its two shareholders. Specializing in airfoil repairs for high-pressure compressors and low-pressure turbines, ASSB utilizes state-of-the-art processes to cater to a wide range of major civil aircraft engine types, including CFM International’s CFM56, GE Aviation’s CF6-80C2, and International Aero Engines’ V2500.
