Lufthansa Systems, a leading provider of aviation IT solutions, has announced that Frontier Airlines has signed a five-year contract for the use of Lido mPilot. This agreement builds on Frontier Airlines’ existing partnership with Lufthansa Systems, as the airline has been relying on Lufthansa System’s Lido Flight Management System (FMS) for one and a half years. By opting for Lido mPilot, Frontier Airlines aims to enhance its operational efficiency, safety, and stability. Notably, Frontier Airlines becomes the first low-cost carrier in the Americas region to become a Lido customer.
Lido mPilot is an all-in-one charting application developed by Lufthansa Systems. It provides users with easy access to terminal charts, a dynamically generated enroute map, an Airport Moving Map (AMM), and other necessary operational documents. The foundation of Lido mPilot is the Lido Route Manual terminal charts, which are meticulously designed to present aeronautical procedures and information in an intuitive manner. This comprehensive solution is tailored for airlines and aims to improve pilots’ situational awareness, enabling them to prioritize safe and efficient aircraft operations.
