26 April, 2019: Airbus A319neo which is equipped with Pratt & Whitney GTF engines has completed its maiden flight for the first time. The A319neo test aircraft took off from Toulouse at 12:30 local time and landed at 15:20. The aircraft was flown by a crew of five consisting of Captain Philippe Castaigns, First Officer Shaun Wildey, David O'Nions, flight test engineers Frank Hohmeister and Test flight engineer Cedric Favrichon.

The aircraft, MSN 6464, will do an extensive flight test campaign in order to attain its certification with P&W GTF engines by Q4 2019. The same aircraft had initially been equipped with CFM International LEAP-1A engines for that variant's full certification test campaign, which started on 31 March 2017 before EASA/FAA certification in December 2018.
