L3 wins contract to deliver electronic warfare aircraft to Australia:

10 April, 2019: L3 Technologies has received a contract with an estimated value of over $1 billion to deliver four aircraft with next-generation airborne electronic warfare (EW) capability to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF).

Known as the MC-55A Peregrine, the contract consists of four modified Gulfstream G550 aircraft with an integrated mission system that will provide the latest EW capabilities. Work on this programme began in 2017. Approximately $230 million were received as funded orders on this contract for the first quarter of 2019 and approximately $700 million in total as of March 29, 2019.

The MC-55A Peregrine will be integrated into the Commonwealth's joint warfighting networks which will provide an important link between platforms, including the, EA-18G Growler, F-35A Joint Strike Fighter, E7A Wedgetail, amphibious assault ships and Navy surface combatants, and ground assets to support the warfighter.
