GE Aviation, Auterion offers hardware:
30 April, 2019: Auterion and GE Aviation will jointly work together to provide hardware and software based platform for commercial drone operations. According to the contact, they will provide a comprehensive hardware and software solution for drone manufacturers and operators seeking to enable commercial drone operations at scale.
The partnership will enable a full stack solution with airborne autopilot and application computing hardware, safety management, flight management and integration. GE Aviation provided with the avionics hardware, application computing, flight management and integration into airframes. Auterion had provided Enterprise PX4, the operating system that runs on the vehicle, in the cloud and the ground station.
Over the last three weeks, Flight testing of the hardware and software platform took place at Reno-Stead airport in Reno, Nevada.
