StandardAero receives STC for Embraer EMB 145 seat configurations

StandardAero receives STC for Embraer EMB 145 seat configurations:

25 April, 2019: StandardAero, via its Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), recently received a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for 30 and 42 seat configurations for Embraer EMB 145. Previously, the company had received an STC for a 30 seat configuration for the Embraer EMB 135. Both 30 seat configurations permit companies to use these aircraft for Part 135 operations. STC also allows increased seat pitch which offers a more enjoyable travel experience.

"This STC gives the operators the flexibility they have been asking for," said John Miedwig, StandardAero Certification Services Director. "Having the ability to put the aircraft on their Part 135 certificate allows for additional revenue streams."

The 30 seat STC for EMB 145 aircraft was developed to satisfy the requirements of many customer inquiries. Previously, the company has sold various STCs per year for the EMB 135 and expects the same for the EMB 145.
