30 April, 2019: Japan Airlines (JAL) first A350 XWB has rolled out of the Airbus paint shop in Toulouse, France. Airbus's A350-900 is the first ever aircraft which is directly produced for JAL and has a special A350 red logo on the fuselage.

Ground and flight tests will be carried out on the aircraft before delivering it to JAL in early summer.

JAL has ordered31 A350 XWB aircraft in total which includes 18 A350-900s and 13 A350-1000s. Initially, the A350-900 will be operated on major domestic routes, with a three-class configuration seating 369 passengers.
