Amber Dubey selected as Joint Secretary Civil Aviation

Amber Dubey, Partner and Head of KPMG, India has been selected as Joint Secretary of Civil Aviation. For the first time, nine private sector specialists have been chosen for appointment as joint secretaries in central government departments.

The joint secretaries positions are usually given to officers of Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS) and Indian Forest Service (IFoS) among others who are chosen through a three-phased rigorous selection process which is carried out by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
