SR Technics completes cabin reconfiguration for Virgin Atlantic Airways:

25 April, 2019: SR Technics has completed the refurbishment of a complex cabin on four Airbus 330-200s for partner Virgin Atlantic Airways.

Besides customising trolley stowage unit, the cabin reconfiguration introduced business class and premium economy seating including IFE. All four aircraft were delivered on the schedule between December 2018 and January 2019, despite the tight deadline. The project also took place during the busy holiday season.

For nearly three decades, SR Technics has undertaken all the aircraft maintenance work for Virgin Atlantic Airways. From 2004, they have also relied on the MRO provider for design organisation and approvals, since SR Technics is renowned for its innovative cabin reconfiguration services and its close work with customers from start to finish.

"This has been a very successful retrofit programme for Virgin Atlantic to improve our customer proposition on these aircraft," said Head of Cabin Product & Maintenance at Virgin Atlantic, Rick Daniels. "The contribution of SR Technics in delivering the full integration package including the STC was paramount to that success. They achieved this in extremely challenging timeframes to a very high standard, and on cost. They led the programme working cohesively in conjunction with Virgin Atlantic, the vendors and OEMs. In all, we are extremely pleased with the outcome and look forward to working with SR Technics on similar projects in the future."
