Philippine Airlines choses AFI KLM E:
12 April, 2019: Philippine airlines has signed a contract with AFI KLM E&M for engine maintenance. The contract covers shop visits and repair services for twenty CFM56-5B engines equipped on Philippine Airlines fleet of A320s. The engine overhaul will take place at Paris Orly engine shop.
The partnership between PAL and AFI KLM E&M started in 2010 with the signing of an initial contract covering the carrier's GE90 power plants.
Jaime J. Bautista, Philippine Airlines President and COO said, "We are highly pleased with the service efficiency provided by AFI KLM E&M in maintaining our GE90 engines. Our partnership with AFI KLM E&M - now on its 8th year - remains strong. We remain confident that they will efficiently and effectively carry out the required CFM56-5B engine shop visits in very short turnaround times."
Dominik Wiener-Silva, Vice President Sales Asia Pacific AFI KLM E&M said, "With this latest contract, we are pleased to add another building block in our relationship with Philippine Airlines and are proud to strengthen our position with the CFM56-5B in the region."
