30 March 2020:As a special aid to European countries in their fight against COVID-19, Airbus has deployed new air-bridge flight between Europe and China. For this, Airbus A330-200 has undergone conversion as Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT). This flight is operated between Europe and China to deliver additional face mask supplies to France, Germany, Spain and United Kingdom.
The recent flight was operated on 26th March, 1915 local time (CET) from Airbus' Getafe site near Madrid and reached Airbus site in Tianjin, China on 27th March. The flight returned to Spain on 28th March at 0405 local time (CET) with a cargo of over 4 million face masks.
