29 March 2020:Gulfstream Aerospace has one confirmed case of COVID-19 positive patient in the Savannah-based & Dallas Love Field facility. These employees are reported doing well and receiving proper medical care and attention. The employees who were in close contact with them are asked to self-quarantine and self-monitor.

Since then there has been an increased cleaning in all the facilities, reduced travel, implemented screenings, limited visitors and quarantined and disinfected incoming aircraft. Besides this the employees are encouraged to intensify personal hygiene, practice social distancing at work, and stay home if they have symptoms or feel unwell.

All the facilities of Gulfstream Aerospace are open in accordance with identification of aviation as critical infrastructure by the Department of Homeland Security's Cyber & Industrial Security Agency (CISA).

Per CISA, the business sectors defined as critical infrastructure are 'so vital to the United States that their incapacitation or destruction would have a debilitating effect on security, national economic security, national public health or safety, or any combination thereof.' Guidance from the U.S. president notes that critical infrastructure industries have a 'special responsibility' to maintain a normal work schedule during the global COVID-19 outbreak.

"These are unprecedented times," said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream. "Our top priority remains the health and safety of our employees, customers, suppliers and communities. We understand the gravity of this evolving situation and have proactively taken precautions to minimize risk and exposure while providing our operators and nation with mission-critical services and support. We have been working to keep officials apprised of the measures we have taken to address the coronavirus and this case. We'll continue to closely monitor this fast-changing situation and implement additional measures, as necessary."
