Bottlenecks in COVID-19 countries-‘Prime cause of supply chain problem’:

29 March 2020: Different aerospace companies around the world are working flexibly according to the current situation to protect their employees and at the same time continue to do business as effectively as possible. Similarly Liebherr continues to undertake various measures like extensive hygiene management, re-organising areas of production to prevent the spread of infection, issuing guidelines on working from home and generally using remote forms of working instead of face-to-face meetings.

In their statement to the clients, Liebherr stated," As an international group of companies, we take our social responsibilities very seriously. The protection of human health is our top priority in all of our business activities. We are aiming to reduce the risk of infection among our employees and their relatives as well as our business partners. In this way, we are helping to prevent infection and slow down the spread of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2."

All Liebherr divisions and companies have been working closely with suppliers and customers over recent days and weeks. The prime cause of problems in supply chain is due to the bottlenecks in certain regions and countries that are affected by COVID-19. This has resulted in the temporary shutdown of certain factories or adjustment in production capacities.
