Beijing Daxing International Airport complete first passenger plane test flight:
13 May 2019: Beijing's Daxing International Airport has completed its first passenger plane test flight. Commercial planes from four Chinese airlines landed safely on the airport.
China Southern Airlines Airbus A380 became the first plane to land on the newly built airport followed by China Eastern Airlines A350-900, Air China's Boeing B747-8 and Xiamen Airlines B787-9.
Various systems in the airport were verified during the test flights like flight procedures, communication facilities navigation, meteorology, minimum performance criteria, runways and the airfield lighting system.
The airport has also been tested with other types of planes for 112 hours.
