Qatar Airways’ Inaugural Flight to Rabat touches down at Rabat–Sale Airport:

31 May 2019: Qatar Airways' very first flight from Doha to Rabat landed Rabat-Sale Airport, marking the airline's third gateway to Morocco. Qatar Airways flight QR 1463, operated by a Boeing 787, was welcomed by a celebratory water cannon salute when it reached the Moroccan capital.

Qatar Airways' Senior Vice President Middle East, Africa and Pakistan, Ehab Amin was present on board the inaugural flight to Rabat.

VIP guests who were present to greet the flight were the Ambassador of the State of Qatar, Abdulla Falah Al-Dosari; General Manager of Morocco's Civil Aviation Authority, Zakaria Belghazi; Minister Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar in Morocco, Khaled Mohammed Al-Dosari; General Manager of Air Transport Morocco, Tarik Talibi; Deputy Mayor of Rabat, Khalid Moujaouir and President of the Regional Tourism Council in Rabat, Hassan Bargach.
