1 June 2019: Hardeep Singh Puri has been appointed as the new Civil Aviation Minister. Earlier, the post was held by Suresh Prabhu.

Puri has also served as the Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Housing and Urban Affairs from 2017. He also has wide experience in trade-related matters as he was a part of the World Trade Organization and has taken care of trade issues which should help him in his new role.
