19 June 2019: Pratt & Whitney and Middle East Airlines (MEA) have selected the Pratt & Whitney GTF engine to power four Airbus A321XLR aircraft. This order signifies the conversion of option aircraft that were a part of the 2018 firm order and brings MEA's total firm orders to 15 aircraft. Middle East Airlines will also receive engine maintenance from Pratt & Whitney through a long-term EngineWise service agreement as part of the original order.
Middle East Airlines currently has nine V2500 powered A320ceo family aircraft.
