Christopher T. Calio appointed as President of Pratt:
26 June 2019: Christopher T. Calio has been appointed as the President of Pratt & Whitney. Previously, he was serving as the President of its commercial engines business since 2017. He was responsible for the development, sales, programme management, customer support and aftermarket services of the company's portfolio of large commercial engines, including the P&W GTF engine family.
Calio also served as chief of staff to UTC Chairman and CEO Greg Hayes. In 2005, he joined United Technologies and served various key positions.
