French Prime Minister meets Airbus Helicopters apprentices
22 June 2019: French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe met with some of the several hundred young apprentices that work at Airbus Helicopters, during a visit dedicated to highlighting the role of apprenticeships in the French aeronautical industry. The Prime Minister of France was invited to see one of the next generation helicopters that they have contributed to during their apprenticeship.

The Prime Minister of France was joined by the French Minister of the Armed Forces, Florence Parly and Bruno Even, Airbus Helicopters CEO.

Apprenticeship helps in learning essential work skills and finding a job in the technical fields of work in the French aeronautical industry. In 2018, Airbus Helicopters had 370 apprentices out of which 15 per cent were women. Over 200 young people enter the apprenticeship system each year.
