: 19 June 2019:AFI KLM E&M & Airbus has collaborated to co-develop and manage a virtual engine run-up A320 maintenance PC-based training solution.
The solution can be used by all A320 engine types. High definition immersive 3D simulation will be used and it will be based on real operational scenarios and in-service aircraft maintenance procedures.
The solution has a substitute solution to training sessions carried out on simulators, facilitating course scheduling and localisation, be it in training centres, in outstations or at the customer's base.
With the help of the new solution, technicians and mechanics that need to be trained and qualified to carry out engine-run-up tests, will be able to visualise an A320 cockpit in an immersive 3D environment and perform the simulated run up test operations.
