3 June 2019:Collins Aerospace Systems has delivered 1,000th nacelle to Airbus for the A320neo programme. They have delivered the 9000th V2500 nacelle, and will continue to support the ramp-up of the A220 nacelle programme. A ceremony was hosted by Collins Aerospace at its Foley, Alabama facility to commemorate the milestone. Over 900 employees at the facility were joined by leaders from Airbus in the US as well as Alabama Congressman Bradley Byrne, to mark the milestones.
The company's relationship with Airbus dates back to the A300, the first Airbus aircraft. The milestones have been achieved are due to the strong relationship and hard work from both companies.
To support the Airbus A320neo programme, Collins has put in hundreds of millions of dollars to grow its manufacturing capacity at six global sites.
