Honeywell obtains EASA certification for connectivity solutions:
23 May 2019: Honeywell has obtained certification from EASA for the installation of its most economical connectivity solutions, the Aspire 200 and the GoDirect Router, on Embraer Phenom 300 aircraft through Altenrhein Aviation. This permits small-business and general aviation operators to install and upgrade a compact and lightweight connectivity solution on their Phenom 300 aircraft. The offering can provide cabin voice and data needs at the highest performance levels to business passengers. It can make a phone call in the air just as reliable as it is on the ground.
Honeywell has collaborated with Altenrhein Aviation to provide tailored and cost-effective solutions across a variety of aircraft from the Cessna 150 up to the biggest A380 aircraft. Operators that make these upgrades can offer their passengers with instant Wi-Fi access from the ground up, making sure they're never out of touch with the office, friends or family. Additionally, Phenom 300 operators across Europe can now access GoDirect Cabin solutions, which are constantly checked by Honeywell for any health checks and required maintenance, essentially reducing operators' aircraft downtime while benefitting from saving costs through a lighter aircraft weight.
