26 February, 2019: Bird Academy, a subsidiary of Bird Group, has participated in the 12th edition of Aero India, the international aerospace, defence, civil aviation, airport infrastructure and defence engineering exhibition that was held from 20 – 24 February 2019 in Bengaluru, India.

Bird Academy showcased the first Aviation Multi-Skill Development Centre (MSDC) which will be used to uplift the underprivileged youth, especially women by training them so that they could get a head start in their aviation careers and to provide the aviation industry with young promising professionals.

For over 20 years, Bird Academy has been imparting aviation education in the country and is working towards the government’s vision of Skilling India and ‘Hunar Se Rozgaar Tak’.

Radha Bhatia, Chairperson, Bird Group said, ‘’According to the aviation ministry, the Udaan regional connectivity scheme is expected to double the number of operating airports in India by the next decade, which will lead to several job opportunities for aspiring young professionals. Our objective is to provide high-quality learning in a modern set-up to our students and provide the industry with the best professionals. We welcome events like Aero India which enable us to achieve our objective by connecting us to all the key stakeholders and allowing us to showcase our initiatives.’’
