27 February, 2019:The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has launched the IATA Diversity & Inclusion awards to recognise and encourage industry excellence.
There will be three categories of leadership in gender diversity and inclusion award i.e. Inspirational Role Model Award, High Flyer Award and Diversity and Inclusion Team Award.
The nominations for the award have been opened from 26 February 2019 on the IATA website and will close on 31 March 2019. The nominees will be judged by an international and independent panel of experts.
The award will be presented at IATA’s 75th Annual General Meeting and World Air Transport Summit that will be held in Seoul, South Korea (1-3 June 2019).
“Aviation is the Business of Freedom. By launching these awards, we want to recognise and celebrate the great work that is being done to take the industry into the future,” said Alexandre de Juniac, IATA’s Director General and CEO.
