Lufthansa Technik Middle East expands its presence in Dubai:
12 February, 2019: Lufthansa Technik Middle East, a fully-owned subsidiary of Lufthansa Technik, has doubled the size of its facility and has added new services to its portfolio to meet the growing customer demands in the Gulf region. The main facility in the Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub at Dubai South which comprises of a hangar and workshop space has been enlarged from 2,500 to 5,000 square meters, only one year after the opening of the location. The facility has already been successfully audited by the German Federal Aviation Office (LBA), in the second half of 2018.

With the additional space, Lufthansa Technik Middle East can now increase their capabilities for Airframe Related Components (ARC), like composite repairs on components such as the inlet cowls of the Boeing 787. New nacelle and radome spares for Airbus A320 and Boeing 787, 777 aircraft were acquired.
Within the region, on-wing work for certain repairs at customer sites can now be performed by additional local mobile support teams; this will reduce costs and turnaround times significantly. In future, additional services are possible which are currently under preparation.
Lufthansa Technik Middle East also has a warehouse at Dubai airport, where large numbers of parts are stored for local spares support. AOG support, engine wash services, landing gear services and a local material support desk are also offered by the company.
