Jet Aviation completes acquisition of San Juan FBO
20 February, 2019: Jet Aviation, a Basel-based business aviation services company has acquired full ownership of the San Juan FBO at Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport in Puerto Rico. On March 2017, the FBO was rebranded as Jet Aviation and since then they have been operating the San Juan FBO under a management agreement with the previous owner, Pazos.

Hector Vasquez, the General Manager at San Juan will continue his role as the FBO Director. Before moving to San Juan in 2018 Vasquez worked at Jet Aviation Teterboro for 26 years. He has an experience of 34 years in the FBO service.

Jet Aviation operates 10 FBOs in the US and Caribbean. San Juan is a high-performing FBO with excellent long-term growth prospects and we are delighted to fully bring it into our fold.”

According to Paddock, a new, larger hangar will replace the old one which was destroyed by Hurricane Maria in 2017. The new hanger will open in the first quarter of 2019. It will have 20,000 square feet of hangar space and 2,500 square feet of office space which will offer customers parking facilities, meeting space, third-party aircraft maintenance, refuelling, flight-planning workstations, an executive passenger lounge and a pilots’ suite.

Also included in the San Juan FBO is a full-service, onsite US Customs and Border Protection terminal to facilitate convenient customs, immigration and agriculture processing of international flights.
